This site's contents and the services offered by Shree Guru Financial Services are expressly intended to serve only the residents of the United States.

Your name, email address, subject and message are stored so we can reply, and a copy is emailed to us. Ask us to delete yours and we will.

Only your email address, the date you subscribed, and whether you are still on the list. Nothing bought from a data broker or added from anywhere else.

Leave from the link in any issue, or by writing to us. Unsubscribing keeps your address for one reason: so we can be sure not to email you again.

Each issue carries a small invisible image, and its links pass through this site before continuing. That shows us whether an issue was opened, which links were clicked, whether it was forwarded, and any thumbs up or down you send. It tells us whether the writing is useful.

Most mail apps can block remote images, which stops the open tracking.

We record that an article was opened, the date and time, and a rough location taken from the network — usually no better than a city, and never requested from your device.

We do not store your IP address. It becomes a one-way fingerprint on arrival and the address itself is discarded, so we can count readers rather than refreshes without being able to identify anyone. Google Analytics, below, does receive it.

An email address is stored only if you type one in because you want a reply. To opt out of all of this, block scripts for this site — the articles read perfectly well without them.

We store the address you send it to, along with your name and email address, so the same person is not sent the same piece twice and so we can see that forwarding happened. Your note is delivered to them and never stored — only the fact that you wrote one.

Whoever receives it is not subscribed to anything and will not be emailed again unless they ask.

This site uses Google Analytics to see which articles are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies holding a random identifier that links your visits together, and reports to Google the pages you open, how you got here, your device, browser and language, and a rough location. Google receives your IP address to work out that location but does not store it.

We use this to decide what to write next — not for advertising, not to identify you, and with none of Google's advertising features switched on. Google deletes the detailed records after two months. What Google does with the data is described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google's opt-out add-on turns it off everywhere, and blocking scripts for this site does the same. Either way the site works exactly as before.

Two kinds. Google Analytics sets its own, described above. This site sets one to remember that you already subscribe, so it stops inviting you to. Neither is used for advertising.

Hosting, database, email and analytics providers, each processing this information only to run the service. Nothing collected here is used to apply for a product on your behalf; if you decide to apply, we take what is needed from you at that point.

We build no advertising profile about you, and we never sell, rent or share your information for promotional purposes. Beyond what this policy describes, we collect nothing about you.

This site is meant for adults, is not directed at minors, and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Write to financialplanning@shreeguru.com to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. There is no form and no waiting period beyond the time it takes us to do it.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be mentioned in an issue rather than made quietly.
